Data Communications Corporation Industry Leader in Technology Since 1969

DCC XT is a division of Data Communications Corporation, a world-wide leader in technology since 1969. DCC XT is the newest in a long history of successful software, technology and information management companies under the DCC umbrella. We enter our 40th anniversary celebration in 2009 with two primary divisions carrying the DCC banner — DCC XT and WoodWare Systems. Data Communications is a privately held corporation headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee with additional product development offices located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Global expansion through cooperative marketing partners/resellers is part of DCC XT's growth strategy (see the partners section of our website for more details).

DCC ventured into barcoding and automated data collection in the early 1990s through its DCC Solutions division. Many of today’s DCC XT products, including Warehouse XT, found their origins in this division.

Now the DCC XT Division provides outstanding technology solutions in the DCC tradition, utilizing our innovative EXACTRAX technology. Our products include Warehouse XT (RF and RFID Solutions for Warehouse Management and Product Tracking) and other innovative products.

DCC added WoodWare Systems to its portfolio of companies in 1992. WoodWare is the premiere business management system for the millwork, window, and door industry. Founded in 1983, WoodWare has more than 110 customers in more than 40 states. Together with DCC’s expertise and history of successful automated developments in other industries, WoodWare is regarded as the leader in the millwork industry, backed by a leader in software systems development. WoodWare was also the first software and technology company to introduce barcode scanning technology to the millwork industry. Innovative products such as the browser based WebConnect online product configurator and electronic catalog, a full blown RF barcoding and Warehouse Management System, and the Var-I-Frame Door Shop Configurator are all WoodWare innovations.

Since its beginning in 1969, Data Communications Corporation has been committed to developing computer systems for a variety of industries. Our goal is to be the experts in the development and delivery of comprehensive automated systems so that your business can operate more profitably. Many companies throughout the world now utilize DCC systems designed specifically for their needs to competitively operate in their industries.

DCC’s reputation began in the broadcast industry. BIAS, the first automated management system for the broadcast industry, was pioneered by DCC. BIAS set an industry standard with an on-line sales, traffic, and accounting system to reduce time spent posting, scheduling, and billing for broadcast advertisements. At its high point, more than half of the total U.S. dollar volume of the national and local television advertising sales in the U.S. were being processed over the BIAS system each year with offices in New York, Los Angeles, London, and elsewhere.

DCC soon ventured into wide area communications with the development of the first satellite-based, shared hub data communications network. This network, known as Cylix, gained thousands of corporate network users in the continental U.S., Hawaii, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, BIAS and Cylix engineered tremendous growth for DCC. In 1977, with this credible experience in computer technology, DCC developed a comprehensive, in-house system to fully computerize the mortgage banking industry. The company created mortgage banking’s first computerized interconnect to link loan origination, secondary marketing and servicing in one unified system. DCC also had a mini computer division and a forms and supplies division to support its other divisions. Today the DCCXT division and the WoodWare Systems division carry on the DCC tradition of technology leadership.
